The stone is laid in the south west corner of the building. The inscription reads: 'This stone was laid to commemorate the founding of the Paignton Spiritualist Church by Henry Paul Rabbich, Edward Marshall, William T. Christie, Catherine M. Marshall, Eva M. Christie, William H. Evans. 1912 - 1922. H.P. Rabbich, President'.
