Drill Hall, Clusters Road, Belper
5th Battalion, Sherwood Foresters (F Company) used this Drill Hall during the First World War. It remains MOD property today and is still used by Army Cadets. A local chap told me that the hall was used for rifle practice for many years after the 2nd World War.
The Drill Hall was erected in 1902 by George Herbert Strutt at a cost of £2,000.It is a fine and extensive building of red brick, with stone dressings.
