SK3594 : 'Prefab' housing

taken 17 years ago, near to Ecclesfield, Sheffield, England

'Prefab' housing.
'Prefab' housing.
These houses were built immediately after WW2 to provide a quick solution to the shortage of houses. They were only intended as a temporary solution with a limited life - about 20 years - but some remain and are still providing a home.
