50 High Street, Sheffield
50 High Street, Sheffield
By J.W. Beaumont & Son, 1953, partly rebuilt in the 1960s. A forceful grid, the "close-set mullions [of which] give the building a pronounced vertical emphasis, a treatment deliberately intended to be in keeping with the facades of older buildings".
Originally Walsh's department store, T.J. Hughes at the time. It has since changed hands.
