Small tarn on Batemanfold Allotment
Small tarn on Batemanfold Allotment
Batemanfold Allotment is a rough expanse of small outcrops with scattered larches rising to the south of Knipe Tarn. At its southern end it rises almost to the top of Cat Crag (186m, just over the wall) and gives excellent views across to the higher Lakeland fells, seen here dusted with Spring snow. It is CRoW access land so there is public access on foot.
