Numbers 9 and 10 Severn Square are a good example of the use of polychromatic brick decoration often used in the area. Although the other buildings in the square do not use it.
The passageway immediately left of the building was once Bridge Row and led directly to the King's Bridge footbridge across the river, with a tannery to its left. All long gone, as is the footbridge. The more recently built Halfpenny footbridge Link is a little further south.
