St. Cwyfan's Church is to be found on the small island of Cribinau located between Porth China and Porth Cwyfan, off the west coast of Anglesey. Originally founded in the 7th century the building was actually on the mainland, but erosion has isolated the building from the coast. Most of the present chapel is of 14th century construction.
It can be reached only at low tide along a rocky beach causeway, and is kept locked to avoid vandalism. Arrangements can be made to view the interior.
The church has been recently given a cream limewash.
Seen here detached from the mainland - along the course of the submerged causeway.
