Most of the stained glass in the church dates from the nineteenth century.
Parish Church of St Kentigern, Crosthwaite

Crosthwaite Parish Church is dedicated to St Kentigern (known as St Mungo in Scotland) and is the Anglican parish church of the parish of Crosthwaite near Keswick. It is a Grade II* listed building (English Heritage Building ID: 71770 LinkExternal link British Listed Buildings).

It is highly likely that a church has stood on this site since the sixth century AD with the current church being probably the fifth or sixth building on the site since then. The present building is dated 1523 and was extensively restored in 1844, by the architect Gilbert Scott.

The Tower Clock outside the church on the south side, dates from about 1720, and only has an ‘Hour Hand’.
