Lamp posts in Fordham Park, Deptford
Lamp posts in Fordham Park, Deptford
An unusual design of lamp post, with the luminaire embedded in the end of a bent steel tube. This path across the park is on the alignment of a former public road known as Clifton Rise.
Fordham Park
The area immediately to the west of New Cross station was developed with terraced housing from the 1850s on what had previously been farmland. The housing was demolished in the early 1970s, and Fordham Park (named after the last Mayor of Deptford) was opened in 1975. It was extensively redeveloped in 2010.
