Lundy at the Battery 2
Lundy at the Battery 2
This is the Battery, on Lundy's west coast. Two cannons were sited here, along with the gunners and their families. When fog descended, the cannons were fired at 10-minute intervals as a warning to shipping in the area. These were necessary as in fog the Old Light was set too high up on the island to be of any use. Time taken not available.
