Causeway to Island Eddy exposed by spring tide
Causeway to Island Eddy exposed by spring tide
Island Eddy is joined to Killeenaran peninsula by a causeway which is only exposed at certain spring tides. It is well known amongst local people that the most extreme spring tides tend to occur around the equinoxes. The photo shows lots of local people taking advantage of the Spring tide on 2nd March 2014, to enjoy a leisurely walk to the island [and back].
