taken 10 years ago, near to St Monans, Fife, Scotland

Sea haar at St Monans
Sea haar at St Monans
A sea haar, or sea fog at St Monans, limiting visibility on an otherwise sunny April afternoon. A haar forms when warm air passes over cold sea water - the warm air is cooled and can no longer hold moisture which is released as condensation.
