Looking Up Deadmans Bottom
Looking Up Deadmans Bottom
Sorry about the title, I couldn't resist. I'll try again. I'm standing in the valley of the Langcombe Brook at the point where it is joined by a stream valley called Deadmans Bottom and I'm looking uphill along said valley. The fact that it all looks a bit like an ancient fly tipping site is presumably because the valley gravel deposits have been thoroughly turned over in the past in the search for tin ore amongst the sand and gravel. I don't think the old tinners cared too much about returning the valley to its natural state.
