St Andrew's Church, Hempstead
Consecrated in 1365. The original tower was C15 but collapsed in 1882. It was rebuilt in 1933. William Harvey, physician to James I and Charles I (and discoverer of the circulatory system) was originally buried in the family vault in the crypt. He was removed but there are 13 other lead coffins containing his relatives. Each coffin has a carved face.
