East along the Vale of Edale-Derbyshire
From near the trig point on Mam Tor, looking east-north-east along the Vale of Edale. Crystal clear views on this day of a Railway Ramblers walk from Mam Tor to Winnats Pass via Castleton. The route from here followed the prominent ridge eastwards and via paths back to Castleton. Time taken 12.34 pm GMT (Greenwich Mean Time).
