The Abbey church of St.Mary and St.Germain #1
The Abbey church of St.Mary and St.Germain #1
The Abbey was founded in 1069 and dissolved in 1536. Throughout its long and turbulent history, it has suffered decay, collapse and fire. In the middle of the 19th century it was restored only for another fire in 1906 to destroy it once more.
Further restoration was carried out to make it the Abbey church it is today. See
