Sheep being driven past Old St John's Church
A farmer on a quad bike and his two sheepdogs were moving this flock along the main street in Gamblesby village - we were told this happens frequently.
The Anglican Church of St John, built in 1868, was closed for worship in 2002 LinkExternal link . Its conversion to a house in 2010 was featured on the Channel 4 TV show 'Restoration Man', it is currently a holiday rental home LinkExternal link .
The church itself is located in the OS gridsquare directly west - see NY6039 : Church at Gamblesby (note original spire).
