TQ1954 : Langley Lane junction with Mill Way

taken 10 years ago, near to Headley, Surrey, England

Langley Lane junction with Mill Way
Langley Lane junction with Mill Way
Langley Lane (opposite) at junction with Mill Way: the lane is a 'byway open to all traffic' (Headley 545, but actually prohibited to motor vehicles owing to a traffic regulation order) to Tumber Street. In the foreground is the entrance to a horse margin (technically bridleway Headley 595) parallel to Mill Way as far as the junction with bridleways Headley 510 and 511, providing a safe off-road route for horse riders, walkers and off-road cyclists. The 'no motor vehicles' sign is completely obscured in the vegetation on the left side of the opening into Langley Lane, which also means that horse riders cannot easily be seen waiting to cross at the junction.
