Mill Lane bugs
Mill Lane bugs
The Upfest project, in collaboration with retail guru Mary Portas, had embellished the faltering East Street area of Bristol. The 100,000 injection has given the shopping experience a new look - by giving local artists the chance to create a number of 'bugs' that have now gone on the walls all along the street. This is hoped to engender visitors to the art trail and thus boost trade.

Incidentally, Mill Lane refers to an old mill (corn) that used to exist at the far end near the river Malago back in the nineteenth century.
