Analemmatic Sundial, Port Sunlight
Analemmatic Sundial, Port Sunlight
This ingenious sundial was constructed in the gardens of the central avenue in Port Sunlight to commemorate the Diamond Jubilee, 2012. Analemmatic sundials are a special type of sundial, in which the gnomon is formed by a person who stands on one of the paving slabs selected according to the month.

The sundial is ingenious rather than useful. Almost any other way of telling the time will produce a better result!
