Little Missenden - St John the Baptist - chancel
Little Missenden - St John the Baptist - chancel
The chancel of St John the Baptist, Little Missenden dates from the Early English (EE) period of Gothic architecture (late C12th to mid C13th) so is a couple of hundred years older than the core of the church which dates from Saxon times, though it may well be a remodelling of an earlier chancel. The double depth triple lancet east window with pillars is a fine example of EE architecture.
See SU9298 : Little Missenden - Church of St John the Baptist for more information on the church.
