House 15, Main Street, St Kilda
In 1861 sixteen whitehouses (to distinguish them from blackhouses) were built along the main street of St Kilda. House 15 was occupied by John Gillies and Annie Gillies (The Queen of St Kilda) when the islanders left in 1930. The house was repointed and renovated in 1965 NF0999 : National Trust for Scotland Work Party restoring House 15, built in 1860.
