The knott is a rocky little spur at the north end of the broad ridge separating the middle reaches of Kentmere from the Hall Beck valley. It is now in CRoW access land but few come this way and the bracken can be a problem in high summer. The view of the fells around the head of Kentmere is worth the effort.
