Reservoir near Wexcombe, Wiltshire
This water storage facility is at the conjunction of a footpath and a bridleway. The brick structure is a pump-house and was built in 1899 to supply water to Wexcombe. There is a plaque, now virtually unreadable, that originally read 'Wexcombe Waterworks the gift of William Corbin Finch 1899' (Additional information from 'Wiltshire in the age of steam' by Peter Stanier , Halsgrove 2006 ISBN 1 84114 549 1).
