Police Public Call Box, Crich Tramway village
Police Public Call Box, Crich Tramway village
Introduced in the late 1920s, this telephone box was for use by both the police and the public. There is limited accommodation for use as a temporary cell, and a lamp on top that could be used to attract the attention of a passing police patrol. It was phased out in the mid-1960s, ... about the same time as passing police patrols were also phased out!
