Hartington Lime Kilns
Hartington Lime Kilns
Grade II Listed, well-preserved linear array of 19th century estate lime kilns. The structure of four pointed arches is made of well-dressed and coursed sandstone masonry. Behind the arches, there are two large oval brick-lined pots corbelled down to three segmental drawing eyes. The poorly preserved remains of a limestone quarry survive to the north-east NZ0288 : Disused limestone quarry north of Tut Hill
