Vazon sliding bridge, Keadby Canal Junction
Vazon sliding bridge, Keadby Canal Junction
A 2004 replacement of the original 1925 battery operated sliding bridge that crosses the Stainforth & Keadby Canal. The bridge slides to the right along the rails that can be seen. Two of three EWS class 66 locomotives that were crossing the bridge are visible. The view was taken from a publicly accessible area. In the background are two exhaust stacks on the Keadby combined cycle gas turbine power station.
