SX9471 : Permian breccia

taken 10 years ago, near to Shaldon, Devon, England

Permian breccia
Permian breccia
One of many large chunks of Permian sandstone breccia fallen from the cliffs of the Ness. These breccias were created by flash floods in a desert environment, very similar to the processes that can be seen in the wadis of the Arabian desert today.
