The modern chapel-of-rest is on the far side of a road bridge that carries undertaker's vehicles and pedestrians over a stream that passes through the site. Over the past 10-20 years various applications were made for other uses of this land but these were all turned down by the London Borough of Bromley. However, in November 2006, permission was granted for the land to be used for human burials and this site was developed as a private (non-local Council) facility.
