Wharfe Bridge, Boston Spa
Wharfe Bridge, Boston Spa
The robust viaduct carried the NER Wetherby to Tadcaster railway (now dismantled) across the River Wharfe downstream from Boston Spa. The viaduct is of sandstone and brick construction. Note the signs of the sandstone originating in desert conditions perhaps 300 million years ago.
