taken 10 years ago, 4 km NNW of Plas Gwynant, Gwynedd, Wales

Approaching Snowdon Summit
Approaching Snowdon Summit
Locomotive No.2 'Enid', with 'The Snowdon Lily' vintage train. With some locomotives now well over 100 years old, most services are now pushed up the mountain by diesel locomotives. In the peak season, three trains per day are pushed up by steam locomotives.

A long walk up, from Rhyd Ddu, to take this picture, arriving with 5 minutes to spare.
