Helpston Road, Glinton
A view eastwards along Helpston Road towards the junction with Lincoln Road and High Street. The spire of St. Benedict's Church, located on High Street, can be seen in the background.
Helpston Road was effectively split into two when the A15 Glinton bypass was opened to the west of the village in 1989. Access to the roundabout near Howe Farm was blocked off to drivers from Glinton for safety reasons and to ease the pressure of traffic generated by Arthur Mellows Village College (AMVC). Consequently, it is no longer possible to drive directly from Glinton to Helpston along this section of Helpston Road although the route is accessible to pedestrians and cyclists via a footbridge over the roundabout.
