View westward on the Up island platform, which is normally used only by Piccadilly Line trains stopping very early or late in the day. Ahead is the District Line to Richmond (to left), to the right to Acton Town and Ealing Broadway together with the Piccadilly Lines to Heathrow and to Uxbridge. An English Heritage blue plaque on this redbrick building at 110 Chiswick Lane South (now the Mawson Arms) announces that the poet, essayist and translator Alexander Pope (1688-1744) "lived in this row, Mawson's Buildings 1716-1719."
