Junction of Halifax Bridleways 155 and 156
Junction of Halifax Bridleways 155 and 156
Bridleway 155 goes up to Castle Carr Road, and back behind the camera past Lamb Hill to Castle Carr Road westwards. This was the original route - Castle Carr Road is not shown on the 1850 map and was evidently made to bypass Lamb Hill and be wide enough for carriages. Bridleway 156 forks to the right and goes down to Saltonstall Lane.
