NS3482 : Start of forestry track
taken 11 years ago, near to Dumfin, Argyll And Bute, Scotland

Start of forestry track
When this picture was taken, the track was part of the Three Lochs Way and the John Muir Way. A short section (behind the photographer's position) of the route was still awaiting improvement; that part leads obliquely up a wooded slope, as shown in NS3482 : Route through the woods, and to this small circular clearing, the start of a forestry track. The track is shown on the 1:25000 map.
The post has a small marker for the John Muir Way on it. For a view in the opposite direction, see NS3482 : End of forestry track; the post is also faintly visible in that picture, where it can be seen at the far side of the clearing.
