NS3482 : Path junction at Goukhill Muir
taken 11 years ago, near to Dumfin, Argyll And Bute, Scotland

Path junction at Goukhill Muir
The part of the track in the foreground, up to the position of the signpost, was, when this picture was taken, shared by the Three Lochs Way and the John Muir Way.
The John Muir Way was new; the Three Lochs Way had been created a few years earlier, but part of it had recently been re-routed along this track (it had previously followed a less convenient route up the side of nearby Killoeter).
Followed in this direction, both routes eventually lead to Helensburgh. However, the John Muir continues along the forestry track, and then along Luss Road, while the Three Lochs Way turns left at the signpost, following a newly-made path down to Camis Eskin and Craigendoran: for a view along that path from beside the signpost, see NS3482 : Path to Craigendoran.
