The Hydro dates from 1860, with later extensions and alterations. It was originally The Hydropathic Establishment - a hotel with facilities for water cures and once had a walled kitchen garden with glasshouses, to the rear across a lane. Link (Archive Link )
Note: Whilst the sources linked to above use the name "Neville" the street name as shown on signs and plans is "Nevill" Crescent.
