SK7761 : Old Hall moat, Norwell

taken 10 years ago, near to Norwell, Nottinghamshire, England

Old Hall moat, Norwell
Old Hall moat, Norwell
The moat is still in water, but this is well hidden by the abundant reedmace growth. It is believed to be one of the moated manors of the three Prebends of Norwell, and may have been the site of a minor siege during the Civil War. Scheduled Monument.
