Oxwich Castle
Oxwich Castle
Although called a castle - and indeed looking like one - Oxwich Castle is really a grand Tudor house. It was built in the C16th by Sir Rice Mansel and his son Edward on the site of an older fortification.
In 1949, Oxwich was very nearly demolished, but was rescued by Lady Apsley and placed into State care.
