William Thomas Du Boulay was born in Weymouth on 14 January 1832 and baptised at St Mary, Melcombe Regis on 19 February that year. A graduate of Trinity College, Cambridge he was ordained in 1857. After curacies in Shillington, Pluckley and Kensington he came here. He has a blue plaque in nearby Gilston Road Link
NB: Sumeray & Sheppards excellent "London Plaques" says it was awarded for his work in forming a local guild aimed at preventing servant girls fraternising "fairs, races, dance or music halls".(Shire, Princes Risborough, 2010 ISBN 978-0-74780-735-3 p184)
