This is locomotive RS8 used at Tunstead Quarry near Buxton. Built in 1923 as an Avonside 0-4-0 steam locomotive it was converted to diesel in 1960 with a Rolls Royce engine. It was initially preserved at the defunct Dinting Railway Museum where it was used for shunting. There are plans for its restoration.
