Bluebells and sunlight in Higgin Hole Wood-Lingen, Herefordshire
Only a few fields now and downhill all the way, between us and Lingen which sits beside the Lime Brook. Lingen means 'place of sparkling water' and there seem to be very few visitors to this remote corner of North Herefordshire. Scarcely was there ever a more welcome sight to this Geographer than the Royal George, the only pub now left in the village and featuring in a CAMRA guide. Food as well as drink is on offer here. Time taken 2.23 pm BST (British Summer Time).
