This is the view east from the smuggler's path close to the top of the cliff. It shows the subsidiary cliff slightly to the east of White Nothe itself. This part of the cliff faces due south across the channel and it consists of chalk laid down in layers that erodes into large blocks which fall down the cliff to the beach below.
