Lincolnshire Regiment Memorial, St George's Chapel
One of several memorials to members of the 1oth foot, the Lincolnshire Regiment and its successors on the south wall of the Service Chapels. This one is inscribed:
To the memory of the officers, non commissioned officers and private soldiers of the 1oth or North Lincoln Regiment of infantry who were killed or died of wounds received in action in the campaigns of 1845-6 of the Sutlej and of 1848-9 in the Punjaub. Erected by their surviving Comrades.

Lincoln Cathedral Service Chapels
The Service Chapels are for remembering soldiers (St George's Chapel), sailors (St Andrew's Chapel) and Airmen (St Michael's Chapel who have died in wars across the globe and over the centuries.
After the First World War, a need was expressed for an All Services Chapel in the Cathedral was expressed and the three chapels in the North Transept were designated for this purpose, becoming a combined chapel with separate Service altars.
