SD4260 : Roundabout, Heysham Moss

taken 5 years ago, near to Middleton, Lancashire, Great Britain

Roundabout, Heysham Moss
Roundabout, Heysham Moss
This roundabout was built in 2008 to link Lancaster Waste Technology Park to the Heysham bypass (A683). It now also provides a link to Middleton sub-station to the north.
A track has recently been laid, to enable large loads such as wind turbines to be transported across the roundabout. (It might have been easier to leave the original road in place when the roundabout was built.)
The 400kV transmission lines to Heysham can also be seen.
