Preserved diesel locomotive - Loughborough
Although this was a steam gala day, I couldn't resist this preserved diesel in a striking livery. D5830 is a class 31, Brush type 2 diesel electric locomotive. The 31s were built at Loughborough between 1958 and 1962. They have a power at the rail of 872 kW and a maximum speed of 90 MPH. For those who understand the notation they are A1A-A1A configuration. The livery is known as golden ochre.
