The Old School House, Nazeing
This house has a plaque on the gable at the left (below the widow) which reads "The Old School House 1855". A school was opened for 84 pupils in 1855 using £400 left by George Palmer (died 1853). This building was too small and closed in 1877 when a larger building was built. However, it reopened in 1877 as a school for children in nearby Broadley Common.
