The May Balfour Garden (4) - Sundial
The sundial was created by Edwin Russell FRBS, and stands in the north east corner of the garden, facing due south.
The May Balfour Garden
The May Balfour Garden was created by Kenneth Balfour in memory of his mother. The amazing sundial in the north east corner of the garden was created by Edwin Russell FRBS, and was presented by Akeler to Wycombe District Council for the people of Marlow in 2002. The sundial weighs 12 tons and created a great deal of controversy when it was installed in The May Balfour Garden, where many local people said that it was out of place.
