Measured Mile Post on the Crosby Shore near Antony Gormley's Another Place public art installation. The large, white building in the background is the Coastguard Station. The type of sea defence changes from concrete stepped embankment to dumped brick and rubble just to the north of the coastguard station. South of the coastguard station is managed parking for visitors to Another Place and snack and ice cream vans were here on this sunny but windy and cool August day. Someone with a camera was watching me take this photo, he asked me to take his photo. He was from Iraq but living in Northampton and studying for an MSc in Electrical Engineering.
