The former Drill Hall - main entrance
The former Drill Hall - main entrance
Front door to the building described here NY4056 : The former Drill Hall, frontage on Strand Road .
Disused and dilapidated at this stage, the building had most recently been used as a sports centre - the words can just be seen above the boarded-up window.
The main body of the Drill Hall has since been demolished, but the front has been retained and given a face lift. It has been incorporated into Carlisle College's newly built arts facility - see NY4056 : Inscription revealed at the old Drill Hall .
